Living in a rural area is much more fun and satisfying compared to living in town. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?
The place where people live influences the way they shape their expectations in life. It is thought that villages are much more fun and friendlier places compared to metropolitan cities, and therefore offer more satisfaction for their residents. I disagree with this view for several reasons, namely the lack of facilities and the lower level of education.
When you live in a nice village, everything seems beautiful. People are mostly friendly and kind, and they offer you help whenever you are doing something that requires energy. Building a house or creating a fence, for example, can be done easily because people do not hesitate to help you finish the project. In addition, the quality of air is much better due to less pollution than what one might encounter in big cities. Living in a village offers a more serene and tranquil environment that results in a calm and safe area to enjoy your day-to-day activities. However, most villages are not equipped with the latest infrastructure, such as hospitals or gyms, and are mostly left behind in terms of entertainment facilities.
On the other hand, owning a house in a metropolitan area can be very expensive, and even if you can afford it, you may also need to own a private car for transportation purposes. Therefore, it is costly from a financial perspective. However, in big cities, you can work in reputable and international companies with adequate salaries. In other words, from the aspect of job opportunities, cities offer much better chances for job-seekers. Moreover, people who build families may want their children to have quality education, and cities are filled with great schools and universities. Finally, there are no entertainment facilities that you cannot find in big cities. Everything is provided, from cinemas, swimming pools, and zoos to great hotels and shopping malls.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree that villages are better compared to cities. In my opinion, cities are more satisfying in terms of job opportunities, education, and entertainment, despite the generally expensive living costs.
